Your last full day in Mahale will feature a final chimpanzee trek. By now, you’ll be more attuned to the rhythms of the forest, and you may even recognise some of the individual chimps by their behavior or distinctive features.

The experience of spending time with these highly intelligent creatures will leave a lasting impression. After the trek, return to your lodge for a relaxing afternoon.

You may choose to snorkel in the clear waters of Lake Tanganyika or take a gentle hike up the surrounding hills for panoramic views of the park. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner as you reflect on your remarkable encounters with the chimpanzees.

Enjoy a final breakfast at your lodge before a boat transfer takes you back to the park’s airstrip.
