Fly into Kigoma, where you’ll be met and taken by boat to Gombe Stream National Park, nestled on the shores of Lake Tanganyika.
This remote and beautiful park is famous for its population of wild chimpanzees, first made famous by Jane Goodall.
After checking into your lodge, take some time to relax by the water or explore the lake with an optional boat ride.
The pristine surroundings of Gombe set the stage for a tranquil yet exhilarating adventure.
Rise early and head into the dense forest with your guide to track Gombe’s wild chimpanzees.
As you walk through the forest, you’ll hear their calls and soon come face-to-face with these incredible creatures. Watching them play, groom, and interact is an experience like no other.
After lunch, take a leisurely nature walk to the picturesque Kakombe Waterfalls, where you can enjoy the cool mist and serene atmosphere.
In the evening, relax by the lake with a view of the distant mountains of the Congo.
After a relaxing morning by Lake Tanganyika or an optional birdwatching walk, you’ll return by boat to Kigoma.
From there, transfer to the airport for your onward journey, enriched by the memories of your intimate wildlife encounters.
